Health and Nursing Sciences Masters Program

The goal of our master's program is to train future pioneers in the health, healthcare, and welfare fields, professionals who are broad-visioned, ethical-minded, and are ready to promote the kinds of research and education that emphasize the value of human dignity, while working hand-in-hand with various health-related institutions.

Hopes for our graduates

We hope our graduates will turn into professionals who can assume leadership roles in the community and promote health, who can coordinate people and tasks in the health, healthcare, and welfare fields, and who possess high-levels of specialized knowledge and skills.

Three major emphasis areas

The graduate program in Health and Nursing Sciences is divided into three emphasis areas. Although each area specializes in different aspects of health and nursing sciences, they also coordinate with each other to take advantage of all available resources.
Research methods and design are included in each of these three emphasis areas, so regardless of which area students choose to go into, they will all have the opportunity to develop their ability to think logically and critically and to clearly express their ideas.

Health Science Emphasis

The main goal of this program is to examine health-related issues from the physical, psychological, and social aspects, and encourage the students to pursue the academic study of related fields. Graduates of schools other than nursing schools are granted admission only to this program.

Fundamental Nursing Emphasis

The main goal of this program is to train students to become professional practitioners, researchers, and educators in various specialized fields that are related to health and nursing sciences.

Quality of Life and Community Health Emphasis

The main goal of this program is to train health professionals who will promote the health of people at home, in the community, and in the workplace.
